Help us rebuild Coaque, a community made up by around 2.000 people, most of them in extreme poverty. It is located in Manabí, 15 minutes from Pedernales; and after the 7.8 Earthquake from April 16, the town was destroyed.
We have set up a Camp that is working as a Communitary Center, offering shelter and food. We are seeking funds to better build this Camp and count with a Medical Attention Center. The next step is to rebuild the houses together with a group of volunteer arquitects and engineers. The crucial challenge for Coaque to achieve sustained recovery is to define and develop the mechanisms to reactivate the local economy.
